The manual on my Ranger PU states that the filter must be changed every time the Transmission Fluid is changed. I always change my oil filter when changing oil, because if you don't, you leave 1 quart of dirty oil in the system. Filters are fairly inexpensive, so I would recommend putting in a new one with every fluid change.
The factory says it not necessary to change fuel filter but i have changed hundreds of these filters and they are always full of trash www.lextechautomotivellc.com
It has a permanent filter that is changed when you have the fluid changed.
Change the oil filter every time you change the oil.
Your tank filter should be changed every month. If your filter becomes clogged, it should be changed right away.
It most certainly is. Change the filter with each and every oil change every 5,000 miles.
Change the oil/filter if it is due a change. Otherwise it is not necessary.
yes
Yes, of course. It would be better to change the filter and not the oil, rather than change the oil and not the filter. As a fact of life, just change both at the same time, each time. Kim
I had my fluids changed in my transmission, and they told me the filter was internal....and they did not replace it!
It is not strictly necessary that you do it every time you change your oil. An obstructed air filter can, however, decrease your vehicles performance. It is recommended that you at least clear the filter of debris at each oil change and replace them every third or fourth oil change or when they are deemed degraded upon visual inspection.
You can but it is not necessary.
Your owners manual should tell you when the fuel filter should be changed but a good rule of thumb is to change it every other oil change. That's what I do.
