No, it is not normal. The oil pressure sender unit screws out. Purchase a new one and you will see how it is removed.
Not normal, it unscrews out of the block. May need a special tool. Not normal, it unscrews out of the block. May need a special tool.

If it is broken off below the bracket and you cant get it with a pair of needle nose pliers you will have to drill a tiny hole in the centre and thread a small screw into it for leverage. If it broken above the retainer bracket, remove the single bolt and remove the sensor with needle nose pliers.
To remove a seized speed sensor, pry it loose with a thin screwdriver and gently rock it back and forth while pulling with steady pressure.
u take them out and replace with real ones!!
If it is a 1997 S10 4.3, with the engine running, remove the fuel pump relay, if the engines stops running, the oil pressure sensor is bad.
If the temperature gauge needle doesn't go back to zero when the car is shut off, it is possible that the needle is sticking. A little WD-40 or electronic spray on the gauge might fix the problem. There could also be a problem with the MAP Sensor or a Radiator Pressure sensor in the engine.
The oil pressure sensor is for the "oil can" light that shows up on your instrumentation cluster in your dash. First, make sure the engine is not running. When one is under the 3.3L V6 engine and facing the oil filter. You will find the, oil pressure sensor/ switch to the left upper side. There is a red locking tab on it that has to be removed via needle nose pliers. Then pull/ disengage the single wire connector body away from the sensor. Nest, clean the area of all grease and oil. Then use a deep socket to properly remove the sensor.
