if its a betta fish they will do that sometimes. if it is tired it will sleep at the bottom (just to make sure its sleeping and not dead, tap the glass gently to see if it moves a bit) but it will go back up to breathe since they do breathe air if its another fish maybe its sick or it might want to make some bubbles with its mouth.
Some fish sleep at the bottom of the tank for instance I have a Baka shark that sleeps at the bottom and also a green spotted puffer that does the same. Some fish such as tetras or guppies of any kind don't sleep at all. I have a dinosar bichir and he will sleep at the bottom of the tank but his body will drift towards the top as he sleeps. My peacock eel ataches himself to the rocks and his body floats from the bottom as he sleep. So it really depends on the fish they all sleep differently
no its dead.........
Flush them down the potty.
They give birth to an average of 50 babies, but only appox 30-35 survive. They live at the bottom or rockpools or sandbanks until they are hatched and are able to get back into the ocean where they will live a normal life of a fish.
No. Your fish has damaged its swim bladder.
Fish it out.
No, the Swai Fish is not a bottom feeder fish, but they do have a vegetarian diet.
If by Dragon fish you mean Arowana then, no it is not normal for one to be swimming upside down. They grow into really big fish (over 40 inches long) so I hope you have a really big tank more than 8 feet long to house it in.
to get an angler fish to eat you shove the food up into the mouth. you can also let the food float down to to the bottom to eat.
If you overfeed a betta they will start to slow down their swimming and lay on the bottom.
This just simply means that the fish are bottom dwellers.
If your fishes dorsoul(back fin) is down it usually means that your fish is sick. Most fish can live up to 3 months when sick. But some even longer. It all basically depends on what type of illness it has. In some cases it could be deppresion.
Fish go further down than the ice. The ice usually doesn't freeze all the way to the bottom. If the fish are trapped in shallow water or if the lake or stream freezes to the bottom, they will freeze.
