Typically you will reach menarche within four years of starting puberty, it's unlikely that you know exactly how long you've been experiencing discharge but even if you have been getting discharge this long it's still nothing to worry about if you've not reached menarche yet. It's only a worry if you reach 16 or older without ever having menstruated, as long as you're going through puberty you will likely menstruate...just be patient.
I don't have an answer, but I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. Really frustrating!
Yes, definatly. Everyones different. I had discharge from the 5th grade till now and I just started my period right before Christmas and I'm in 8th grade.
I have this same problem! this post was from a long time ago, so do you have an answer now? it would be so helpful.
It is possible if you have not started your period yet, you may be fixing to start soon.
your going to start your period in the next two years
It's impossible to say when your period will start following getting discharge. Discharge starts as a girl enters puberty, everyone develops differently during puberty but typically we say that a girl will reach menarche within four years of starting puberty.
Girls usually have discharge for about 6 months to a year before starting her first period but it can vary from girl to girl. Some girls can have discharge for only about 3-4 months before getting their first periods as others may have discharge for about 2 years before they start.
Eleven years old is in the normal range for a girl to start getting her period. This is a normal and healthy part of female development. Some cultures celebrate a girl's first period with a feast or ceremony.
Normal discharge means NO INFECTIONS - in this case men cannot have discharge after sex BUT if the origin of discharge is sexually transmitted infections - YES, men can get it after sex.
Somewhere between 8-14 years. Most are around 11-12.
The average age of menarche is 13 years old, with anything between 10-16 years old being normal range too. A girl who is 12 years old or younger may get her period.
Around puberty, before a girl gets her period.
No i dont think that is normal. Go see a docter sweetheart for a professional opinion.
There is no direct correlation between starting to experience discharge and menarche (first period) per say - starting to get discharge is one of many changes that occurs during puberty, and menarche is just one other change. Typically a girl will start to menstruate within four years of starting puberty, so if she has started to get discharge menarche will likely start within those four years.
Yes, it's called discharge. Every girl has that.
