Yes, that's perfectly normal. Some people have lighter flows for a longer amount of time, and some people have heavier flows for a shorter amount of time.
Also, your first few periods are usually irregular. For example, my friend's daughter got her period and then didn't get it again for 6 months. You have nothing to worry about.
