yes it is normal. This is known as chocolate blood. It is quite common in women. It is simply just "old" blood from you. Fresh blood is red because it is fresh. The older the blood the darker the color. However if it continues on for a long period of time accompanied by severe pain and other unusual symptoms, you might want to get it checked out.
