I'm in a very similar situation myself I'm 18, nearly 19, and have just finished school after doing my A-Levels there. I've never had a girlfriend before, but I met this girl who I really like a little while ago. She's smart, funny, and very very sexy, but she's only 16. I figure, what the hell, you can't help your feelings for someone, and no-one can ever ask you to cut your heart out, so just follow your feelings for her. There is only a year's difference between you two, and both of you are below the legal sex age, so there shouldn't be any problems, as long as you don't have sex, and keep petting in public to a minimum. You've got to remain true to who you are, and you have to explore your feelings for people that you like in that way. Just ask her out. I mean, my parents have something to say about the relationship between me and this girl I like, but parents can't run your life. The girl I like's sister has something to say about our relationship as well, and you have just got to take what they say with a pinch of salt. They don't mean it, they probably just feel threatened that you'd be taking away someone that they love so much. Hope that helps!
