The 1998 Ford/Mercury Villager came equipped in the 3.0L V6. For this application 0W30 and 5W30 are specified for all-season use. 10W40 may result in decreased fuel economy and is not needed for this application. No damage will be sustained if 10W40 is run or used as top-off.

NO! It is too heavy an oil for the conditions the snowblower will operate under. Use 5w30 and do not use 5w40 unless you want to damage the engine.
