It's okay to exhibit a sense of humor, but don't clown around. Take your cue from the interviewer.

Its okay to be a little shy and nervous. You never want to be too cocky and overconfident. Its okay when you start the interview to try and break the ice and say "I'm sorry I'm a little nervous today." Just make sure regardless of how shy you are to maintain good eye contact during the interview, smile and give a good firm handshake when you meet them and leave.
I would tend to avoid saying that.
okay
That's stupid.
Not if you want to be remembered.
Great question. Sometimes an interviewer will ask you earlier in an interviewer how you describe yourself and then later asks you how others describe you --this is a great way to see where the similiarities and differences are. Go back to the people who'll be your references and ask them what they see as your personal and work related strengths and weaknesses. This type of question is showing the interviewer that you are aware of how others see/perceive you and its okay for you.
Of course it is okay to send notes to people but not for any strangers also as long as you do not write any swear words, mean names and bad words. You can only send notes to the people you know but it does not matter how far they live but as long as you know them.
They can receive mail-so yes.
