It is generally a rule of thumb that you do not mix "uppers" (i.e. amphetamine, ephedrine, cocaine, etc.) with "downers" (i.e. diazepam, alprazolam, opiates, alcohol, etc.) as certain combinations of these substances can prove fatal. However, I have in the past taken hydrocodone and Adderall together for recreational purposes and suffered no ill effects. The key is to closely monitor how much you ingest, and to not go in search of a third substance once you are under the influence. I would recommend not drinking any alcohol and absolutely not taking a third substance, especially not a diazepam or alprazolam. Concisely, I'm not sure what your definition of "okay" is (most recreational prescription drug use is certainly not good for your overall health) but it certainly won't kill you if you keep your dosage reasonable.

The simple short answer is, YES! There is no evidence currently that states mixing amphetamines and opiates together can interact negatively.

Yes, but it is extremely dangerous. The mixing of these types of medications are well known for causing cardiovascular complications, i.e. Arithmia, heart attack, stroke, ect. If you were prescribed these medications, please make sure your Dr is aware of any other medications you are currently taking. In short, yes, but it should be CLOSELY monitored by a qualified health care provider and or physician.

It may not be wise: those two drugs together can put strain on the heart in some people, and more rarely but still enough to be a risk is the chance of a seizure.

The only way to know is to ASK THE Doctor Who is prescribing these meds; if more than one doctor is involved, ALL must know the patient's full list of medications!

You can mix amphetamines and opiates without having any problems. Just make sure you do not overdose on either. There is no evidence that supports amphetamines should not and cannot be taken with opiates.

It depends. Adderall is a stimulant, not a narcotic like somebody previously said.

Narcotics are depressants, so taking the two combines would be sending mixed messages to your heart.

Mixing the two kinds of drugs is pretty unpredictable, you're body may respond negatively to it, or it may not.

If the stimulant wears off before the depressant, your central nervous system can become more depressed.

Be careful how much you take if you plan to do this.

Yes, these 2 drugs can be taken with no drug interactions. I will say that while taking the 2 drugs, you need to completely avoid the use of alcohol in which this could have some serious effects on the heart.
