i would not in case it were to fall over or if the tank would get tooo hot use a fish light 4 watts per gallon and leave it on for eight to four hours a day
Bettas should have a heated tank (78F) and a close fitting cover to keep the air warm and damp so they can breath it easily without damage to their 'labyrinth'. A modern low wattage lamp should not provide too much heat. A light is good.
It is absolutely ok to have a lamp by the betta fish tank, just make sure its not on 24/7, as fish need dark and light periods to function normally.
Betta are airbreathers. So long as the ammonia and nitrates are okay, you don't need filters on a Betta tank.
If you sell their bottled blood, its okay, but other ways, no.
You can try to put Guppy fish in with your Betta fish. That would be one of the only fish that i would put in with my Betta fish. I say that because i have a Betta male and he is OKAY with guppies. the first guppy i put in his died to to getting picked on by him but the others did not, so just give him another chance if you decide to get guppies. Hope i helped!
I'm 99.9% okay I'm 90.9% sure they do They fight other fish and well my betta bit the feeder 10 or 11 times he's so stupid :)
Yes, bettas are suitable fish for planted tanks. Unlike some fish they will not dig up, eat or damage plants.
yes, that's okay, but about 3 in the morning and 3 at night would be better. and i assume you are talking about betta pellets :P
Not every fish is okay, maybe check with a fish expert at a local pet store and see. But, whatever you do, don't put two Siamese Fighting Fish together. They WILL fight!
Yes. I have 2 newts and a betta with them! I am typing beside them! They are fine together.
If the room temperature is the same. Otherwise they'll go into shock and die!
That's not it's species- but bettas will be aggressive towards other fish. Two males shouldn't be put together, neither should a male and female. Two females would be okay
The basic rules for successfull fish keeping are . 1inch of fish needs at least 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. :- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water replaced every week. In the case of a Betta it is a 3 inch fish and so it needs at least 3 gallons of water to live in. (so a Marineland Eclipse 6 should do the job OK) It is also a tropical fish and so it needs a heater/thermostat set at 78F and a thermometer to keep a check on it. If you feed the fish well and provide all the above your Betta should do OK. If you fail in any of them I can guarantee that your fish will be constantly getting sick and will live a shortened life.
