Is it okay to take Amoxicillin while 22 weeks pregnant for an abscessed tooth?

Yes. This drug is considered as safe during pregnancy. But any antibiotic must be taken when prescribed by your doctor and not of your own.

Yes (if prescribed). Amoxicillin can be safely used during pregnancy provided there are no other prohibiting factors, e.g. allergy to penicillin, etc.

Your dentist will know which type is right for you. I had an abscessed tooth too. I had to be on antibiotics for 4 weeks to get rid of the infection. Then I had to have a root canal done. It did not hurt at all and I am afraid of the dentist. Amoxicillin, Biaxin or clindamycin are often used in treating dental infections.

yes you can. i have just had my wisdom tooth taken out and im 11 weeks pregnant, pharmacist said it should be fine aslong as i stay to the guideline doses

I've hhad the abscess for a while but didnt know what it was just thought it would have went away.
