I don't think two brown eyed parents produce a blue eyed child, but a brown eyed parent and a blue eyed parent can produce a child with blue eyes. Brown eyes are not always dominate.

Two brown-eyed parents CAN produce a blue-eyed child if BOTH carry the recessive gene for blue eyes. Recessive means it can hide, but is still present and ready to be carried on to a future generation. Brown eyes ARE dominant. If you carry the gene for brown eyes, your eyes are brown. This does not mean you can't also carry the recessive gene for blue/green eyes.

Yes, If both parents are carry one brown allele and one blue allele, they will both have brown eyes but there is a 1 out of 4 chance that the offspring will have blue eyes.

Yes, I forget what it's called right now, but sometimes genes skip a generation or two.

EDIT: No, they cannot. However two brown eyed people can make a blue eyed child.

The parents of Tim have brown eyes but Tim has blue eyes so How is this possible?

Tim's parents both have the recessive trait for blue eyes but their brown eye traits are the dominant ones that show. Time must have by chance gotten both the recessive genes from his parents and no brown eye genes thus his blue eyes go without the brown taking over.

Father has red hair blue eyes mother has brown hair brown eyes what will second child look like?

likely brown hair - in order for a red haired child both parents have to have the red hair gene & of course red hair.

Can both brown eyed parents have 2 brown eye children and one child with green eyes?

It really depends on genetics down the parents line. Brown pigmentation on the eyes is a dominant allele on the gene and where 2 brown eyed parents reproduce, there is a high chance that all children will have brown eyes. However, if both parents carry a gene for blue eyes, which is recessive, there is a chance that both genes will meet and create off spring with blue eyes. This is known in laymans terms as a 'throw back', i.e. some one on either genetic line has had blue eyes. So yes, it is possible for parents with brown eyes to have 2 children with blue eyes and one with brown.

Brown eyes are dominant over blue eyes in humans The genetic makeup of blue-eyed children who have brown-eyed parents must be?

B (dominant) is for brown and b (recessive) is for blue. If both parents have brown eyes, for them to have a blue-eyed child their genotypes (the combination of b's) must both be Bb, because they both need to provide a little b (to have blue eyes you must be double recessive (bb)). This is worked out using a Punnett Square. (example: https://mcglynn-bioreview4.wikispaces.com/file/view/basicpunnetsquare.jpg)

A person w green eyes and a person w brown eyes what color will the child have?

50% BROWN0% GREEN50% BLUEThe brown gene is dominant but if it also carries a recessive blue gene then they can have a blue eyes babyAnswerSince brown is a dominant gene and blue is the recessive gene, the child will usually have brown eyes. My father had brown eyes and my mother had blue eyes. They had three children: two brown eyes and me a blue green or as some call it grey eyed child. Then my brown eyed sister had a child with a blue eyed man and their son had blue eyes. So you really need to check to see if the brown eyed person has a brown or blue eyed parents. If one parent has blue eyes then yes it would be possible to have a blue eyed child. So the answer may lie with the Grandparents of the brown eyed person having the child. Check to see if one has blue eyes. Hope this wasn't to confusing. You can definitly can have green eyes when one parent has blue eyes and the other has brown. My Mother has brown eyes and my Father has blue eyes and i have green eyes and my twin sister has green eyes and he is definity our father. My brother has blue eyes though.

If a child has blue eyes and both her parents have brown eyes what does that tell you about the trait for blue eyes?

That the trait for blue eyes was recessive in both parents.

What if your eyes are blue and your girlfriends eyes are brown Will your child have blue eyes or brown eyes?

You have a better chance of brown, because brown is dominant. If one of your girfriend's parents have blue eyes you have a The your girlfriend is a carrier of the recessive blue eyes gene and there is a 50% chance that your child will have blue eyes. If neither of her parents had blue eyes but one of their parents had blue eyes there is a 25% chance your child will have blue eyes. But statistics do not generally apply perfectly to real life, because life is fairly random. So it's better to say your chances SHOULD be 50% of having a child with blue eyes if one of your girlfriends parents have blue eyes, and your chances SHOULD be 25% etc.....

How come both of a child's parents have brown eyes but the child can has blue eyes?

Your wife had an affair; simple.

Can a blue eyed man and a brown eyed woman make a blue eyed kid?

Theoretically, a blue eyed man and a blue eyed woman cannot produce a brown-eyed child. The reason is that neither parent carries the brown-eyed gene. If the father or mother did carry the brown-eyed gene, the eyes/irises of that parent would be brown. The gene for brown is dominant over the gene for blue. However, two brown eyed parents can produce a blue eyed child. In that case, each parent with brown eyes must carry the gene for blue - the parents' eyes are brown because the brown gene is dominant over the blue gene. However, if the child inherits a blue gene from both brown eyed parents, the result will be blue eyes although both parents have brown eyes. In the case of one parent with brown eyes and one parent with blue eyes, there is a possibility that the parent with brown eyes possesses the non-dominant blue gene. If the child inherits the blue gene from that brown eyed parent, the child's eyes will be blue since the gene from the other parent with blue eyes will be blue. There is a condition known as heterochromia iridis where one eye is brown and one eye is blue. This condition is usually pathological on a neurogenic or inflammatory basis with the abnormality usually being in the lighter/ blue eye. Acquired heterochromia iridis that develops in an adult may suggest a melanoma of the iris in the brown eye.

Can to blue eyed parents have brown eyed children?

no they cannot because if you have blue eyes, your alleles are bb, and so... bb and bb have no B, and therefore, with no dominant gene, there cannot be a brown eyed child.

What eye color will be the child's eye color if the mom is green and the dads eye color is blue?

The green eye and the blue eye are the same gene, so is black and brown. The child's eyes would have to be green or blue because both parents onlt have blue genes. If both parents have brown eyes there is still a chance the child's eyes could come out blue, but only if one of the parents have a hidden blue gene. But is both parents have blue eyes this means all their genes are blue and the child will 100% have blue eyes.

If a child has blue eyes and both parents have brown eyess what does that tell you about the trait?

The gene for blue eyes is recessive.
