Is it possible to get a website shut down or at least looked into for dangerous content and if yes then how?

Get the complete URL, go to www.whois.com and paste or type the URL into the box. This will give details of who owns the site, their address, and the location of the server. The server location is most important.
Contact the authorities in said country that the server is located, and make them aware of the content of the website. The country in question will then need to investigate the site, and illegality of it or such.
It's likely they may not keep you informed on the status of the investigation.
