Is it possible to retrieve a tied bag of my clothes from a garbage truck my gf says they are ruined once compacted but they were in a tied bag and truck wont be emptied till morning when full?

Yes, but it won´t be easy.
You´d have to call to the company owning the carbage vehicle, and know which of the several trucks was the one picking up the trash from your neighborhood.
Also the truck would have to be emptied somewhere, you can not go inside the truck to dig. And you would have to dig through all the trash to find your exact bag.
Even if the bag was opened and the clothes scattered within the truck, they would be able to wash clean.
So, it is possible, but time-consuming, IF you get permission to do so. Usually the carbage companies do not allow such a thing, it is far more expensive to dig the trash than go and buy new clothes.
I disagree you might find them but if it is the size of the truck i drive 30 yard mcneilus no way for one people throw alot of liquid away and when i compact the load what do you think is going to happen all the liquid gets pressed into your clothes the bag you said the bag was tied don't matter it was popped then ripped apart and mixed with other garbage i have thrown many of bags of clothes in and they always get ruined after the first pack sorry but your clothes are toast
