Hamsters of any species can eat any sort of fruits, except citric ones like Oranges (apple, grape, banana, anything to this effect - mine takes Duran sometimes!)

Hamsters DO eat:

Rice

Any green vegetable - especially leafy ones (e.g. spinach, xiao pai chai, Chinese celery, lettuce and other local vegetables.)

cooked chicken/fish

carrots (although some owners claim this discolors white hamsters)

alfalfa (this may become more of a bedding than a food source for some hamsters)

Toasted bread

Make sure not to give any hamsters dairy products!

Most rodents do not like citrus fruits.

Do not feed anything with citric acid such as oranges, tangerines, tomatoes and so on. Check a list with things that you can feed your hamster just to be sure. :)
