This depends entirely on what make model and year the machine is as well as why it is being driven.
It is not safe to use it as a loader with the prop shaft missing, but it might be if it is just being moved.
No, the CR-V is designed as a front wheel drive vehicle.
YES.
Perhaps something in your front differential is not right and it is spinning your front drive shaft, instead of vice versa.
there is no drive shaft it's front wheel drive
The front axle shaft will be cv style, so zero there. The front drive shaft would have three. The rear drive shaft would have two if it is a one piece shaft, three if a two piece shaft. The front axle shaft will be cv style, so zero there. The front drive shaft would have three. The rear drive shaft would have two if it is a one piece shaft, three if a two piece shaft.
i had my drive shaft twist off the u joint holders 2 times. i have a 4wd swinger loader. i think my ring and pinion gears in the front have slack. sometimes it sticks for a moment but drive shaft still turns until it twists off again. it works in 2 wheel drive for now ,but i will take chunk out for a rebuild later. i will get prices at some local shops in the spring to rebuild chunk. brian
the wheels ar always linked to the axle and the drive shaft the drive shaft is disconnected in the transfer case
Yes
Yes it can.
It depends if it is a 4 wheel drive truck. A rear driveshaft is used to drive the rear axle. A front driveshaft is used to drive the front axle on a 4X4.
front drive shaft, how do you get the yoke out of the transfore case to replace the ceal?
On vehicles with a true 2wd position in the transfer case, yes.
