Not really but if it is only for a day or two then yes it's fine but any more than that no it's not safe
The fly wheel/drive plate. the rear main bearing seal is mounted at the end of the engine block, which prevents oil leakage from the engine block.
It depends on the seriousness of the leak. Basically, if you car is not in top condition/repair you should not drive it.
valve stem seals on my 95 and 96 town cars were bad, also had oil pan gasket and rear main seal leakage.
