I was trying to find out the same thing, and this is what I found on Lifespan.org: "Fish such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, tilefish, bluefish and striped bass. These fish contain high levels of methyl Mercury. Pregnant women should also avoid shellfish that is raw or undercooked and "should never consume sushi, sashimi, ceviche or tuna carpaccio," Buban warns. Fish such as salmon and cod are safe to eat. Pregnant women can safely eat up to twelve ounces of cooked fish per week, with a maximum of six ounces of albacore tuna during that week. "
Although ceviche is technically fish cooked with acid (e.g. lime juice), pregnant women should probably avoid eating ceviche on the slight possibility that the fish is not properly cooked, similar to the reason they should avoid eating sushi/sashimi as well.
It is safe to eat the pearl meat when pregnant.
Yes. It is safe to eat the goat meat when pregnant.
Yes you can. Everything in moderation though. You wouldn't want to be eating it twice a week...just once in a while to satisfy that craving. Make sure that it is properly cooked. Never eat ceviche when pregnant.
