There is no way anyone can tell you that it is safe to eat without lab tests.

It should have not been left out overnight unless where it was left out was as cold as a refrigerator. And 'cold' should be determined by a thermometer.

You will have to make the decision on whether or not to use it.

No, you can't leave cooked turkey out overnight. If you can't fit the turkey into the refrigerator, break it down into sections and wrap or bag in plastic each section. You can even make up meal sized packages and include some of the side dishes ready for reheating.

Live turkey, yes. It's where they live.

Raw turkey, no, not unless the temperature is less than 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cooked turkey, no, not unless the temperature is less than 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

If it is cool enough to store raw or cooked turkey outside, you still have to keep it tied high enough to discourage animals from scavenging it.

Can you cook a partially frozen turkey left out to finish defrosting overnight if it is still cold in the morning?

Yes you can. The amount of time directed on the turkey for cooking time will need to be extended by 1 hour at 350. Most people put a little bit of water in the botom of the pan so you would have to add less water to compensate for the water left in the turkey. Please make sure the bird if fully cook so no contaimination is present... Cook safe.

Can a frozen turkey be left out for 18 hours?

NO! Not at room temperature. To do so is to risk food poisoning as the exterior warms to room temperature while the inside is still frozen. To safely thaw a turkey you may thaw it in the fridge (this can take a few days), submerge it in cold water in a sink, or slowly run cold water over it for an extended period. Ensure that it's chilled so that the outer portion does not get warm.

How long to defrost a turkey in cold water?

That will depend upon the size of the turkey. Figure about 30 minutes for each pound of turkey.

Does a turkey need to be defrosted before a brine?

Actually, if you are careful to maintain a temperature below 42 degrees, you can brine a frozen turkey and let it defrost as it brines. The catch is to not allow the brine to warm up or bacteria can form, despite all the salt. I sanitize a cooler, put in the turkey and the cold brine to cover it, then add both ice cubes and frozen cooler packs in ziplocks (the food-safe kind you can freeze and re-freeze to keep things cold in your cooler). The turkey will defrost quickly - as in 24 hours - this way. I like the turkey to sit out of brine in the fridge overnight before roasting so that the skin dries out and crisps better when roasting.

Can a cooked turkey breast be left out overnight?

No. You should not leave turkey unrefrigerated overnight. When you leave food at room temperature, bacteria grow more rapidly. It is safer to keep cooked food in the refrigerator to avoid food poisoning.

Would frozen Ribs left out overnight to thaw in unheated basement spoil?

not if they're still cold to the touch. rinse wel and smell the meat before cooking. That will depend on the temperature of the unheated basement. If the basement is as cold as a refrigerator, then they'd be OK. If the basement is warmer than a fridge, then the ribs could have spoiled are not OK.

Will it hurt for a snake to eat a mouse that is still frozen?

What could you use if you didn't have an ice pack to reduce inflammation?

If you want to apply cold to an inflamed area, it does not have to done by an ice pack; anything frozen will work, frozen peas, frozen meat, etc. If you have absolutely nothing in your freezer, or possibly don't own a freezer, then possibly you can run cold water from the tap. It's not as cold, but it's still cold.

How do you thaw a frozen turkey roll roast?

The best and safest way to thaw a frozen turkey roll roast is to move it from the freezer into the refrigerator to allow it to thaw. In a time crunch, you can remove it from the box and soak in cold water to thaw. You should change the water every 30 minutes or so until it is completely thawed.
