If you clean them carefully, you can re-use them. Make sure what you're re-using them for is something plastic is good for (for example, don't store paint thinner in them; it'll dissolve them -- you get the idea :} ).
I know what it's like to have a wild craving for ice cream. But you'd have to be bonkers to enjoy it after it has been left in the fridge. I'm not sure, but I doubt that it would freeze very well after that. It may not hurt you, but c'mon. Go out and buy some fresh.

Yes, because you can reuse aluminum containers for water. After a bit, chemicals in plastic will start to seep into the water.

You can recycle plastic so it doesn't end up in the landfills. You can also reuse items, such as containers (except containers that hold hazardous waste.)
Safer plastic containers are polyethylene#2 and #4 (High density HDPE #2 and Low density LDPE #4). HDPE is used for milk, water, juice, and yogurt containers. LDPE is used for squeezable bottles (honey, mustard, etc.).Relatively safe#1 polyethylene terephalate (PET) used only once#2 and #4 polyethyleneUnsafe# 5 polypropylene (catsup bottles, yogurt containers)#6 polystyrene (Styrofoam)#7 polycarbonate (Nalgene) water bottlesNever useFood or drinks heated in plastic containers in a microwave.Styrofoam cups (polystyrene #6), especially for hot liquids.#7 polycarbonate (Nalgene) water bottlesPlastic baby bottles. the most common examples of primary recycling (reuse) are with glass containers, where milk and drinks bottles are returned to be cleaned and used again. reuse is not widely practiced in relation to plastic packaging - plastic products in general end to be discarded after first use. however, there are examples of reuse in the marketplace. for example, a number of detergent manufacturers market refill sachets for bottled washing liquids and fabric softeners. consumers can refill and hence reuse their plastic bottles at home. The world will reuse its plastic to save oil
Is it bad for you to reuse a plastic bottle
refill it with water
yes
no they aren't because it has wax on it and you can't recycle wax. Most milk containers can be recycled. Plastic (HDPE or PET) containers can be recycled easily when cleaned properly. Tetrapak containers have a process where the aluminium and cardboard is separated from the plastic for recycling.
