It takes a little bit longer to become an OBGYN than a pediatrician because you are taking care of pregnant women and you are looking for genetic diseases that can be treated before the child leaves the womb rather than to wait for the child to be born and have the child suffer or possibly die until you can figure out what they are suffering from.
