Everyne has different degrees of emotion, and I would not say that you are not experiencing love, but I think that if I felt like that about someone, I would need to verify if it was infatuation or not. This is not meant in a nasty way, its just that I felt like that about my first love, and it wasnt until we split and I started seeing someone else, that I realised that it hadnt been based on anything too solid. I was more in love with the idea of being in love than actually being in love with him. The man I started seeing after my first love is now my husband, and weve been together 8 years, and the love we have is deep and meaningful, we are equal to each other and Im glad that my first love is in the past. Enjoy this experience, but bear in mind that it might not necessarily last forever.

What your question describes is infatuation, but it's possible to love someone and be infatuated at the same time.

If you love someone you care about them and their feelings more than you care about yourself and your own feelings.

well, i suppose it is because you actually care for them very much to cry. If you think of them often, and long to be with them, i would say that you do truly love them. crying of emotional and physical pain of the heart when it is aching is also another reason that you may love this person.

F you, my friend just read this and now thinks that the guy shes been thinking sbout all the time and wants to be with is wrong... Their bothh good friends and now the first poster has just ruined it all woow thanks.

Do all emotional affairs have to become sexual?

Not really. Emotional affairs are a situation where one person out of a romantic couple seeks emotional support from a person who is not their spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend. For it to count as an emotional affair, the person supplying the emotional support would have to be someone who would be eligible as a companion had the person seeking emotional support not been romantically involved already. Sex does not really supply emotional support, so it does not fit into a specifically emotional affair.
