The hadiths of our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) contain very detailed information and signs regarding the End Times, which will take place close to the Judgment Day. According to this information, the End Times will be made up of two parts. The beginning of this holy time will be one of corruption, degeneration, disasters, conflict, wars and famine. But the second part will see the return to earth of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), and will be a time of beauty when peace, security and freedom dominate the world-a period of plenty and abundance, when people will be happy in every regard.
Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal:
The Prophet (SAW) said: The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib is in ruins, the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes, the outbreak of the great war will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople when the Dajjal (Antichrist) comes forth. He (the Prophet) struck his thigh or his shoulder with his hand and said: This is as true as you are here or as you are sitting (meaning Mu'adh ibn Jabal).
The Prophet (pbuh) said: "We (I and my family) are members of a household that Allah (pbuh) has chosen for them the life of the Hereafter over the life of this world; and the members of my household (Ahlul-Bayt) shall suffer a great affliction and they shall be forcefully expelled from their homes after my death; then there will come people from the East carrying black flags, and they will ask for some good to be given to them, but they shall be refused service; as such, they will wage war and emerge victorious, and will be offered that which they desired in the first place, but they will refuse to accept it till they pass it to a man from my family (Ahlul-Bayt) appears to fill the Earth with justice as it has been filled with corruption. So whoever reaches that (time) ought to come to them even if crawling on the ice/snow since among them is the Vice-regent of Allah (Khalifatullah) al-Mahdi."
"(Armies carrying) black flags will come from Khurasaan (east of Iran). No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eelia' (Baitul Maqdas) where they will erect their flags."
The holy Prophet(SAW) said:
A group of my Ummah will fight for the truth until near the day of judgment when Jesus, the son of Marry, will descend, and the leader of them will ask him to lead the prayer, but Jesus declines, saying: "No, Verily(Al-Mahdi), among you Allah has made leaders for others and He has bestowed his bounty upon them.

It is reported from Abu Hurayra(RA) that the Prophet(SAW) said:
What will be your reaction when the son of Mary (Jesus) descends and your Imam is from among yourselves?

This is the said comcept of the Ishnaa Ashari Shi'a sect. There is a famous Hadith from prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that Mahdi at hide is like sun behind cloud, he is hidden from people but people receive his benefits. Shia Muslims say some faithful believers have connection with Mahdi and use his knowledge. Shia Muslims believe that it is proved at least 1000 persons have had connection and talk with Mahdi during his hide period but Any one having relation with Mahdi keep it and does not declare it in public until is alive. believing or not beliving in Imamat (leadership of Islam Ummah after prophet appointed by Allah) has direct effect on today political leadership of Islamic Ummah. if you beleive Caliph is only appointed by God then you ask so who is today Caliph? Indeed he is Mahdi (sa) and all Muslims prepare themselves for his comming and he come and Islam gets all the world. but do you know why he does not come? the only reason is he does not have enough real soldiers to help him establish Islamic goverment in world. most of Muslims only claim. he does not come until Muslims really want him to arrive and lead them. when you do not believe in his Caliphate you will accept corrupted Dictators to decide and lead for Muslims.
