- Some Pakistani families stick to their culture even though they may be Westernized and in many cases they prefer the sons marry their own kind and generally the parents choose the bride for their son. However, it is difficult for the young Pakistani men who are Westernized to follow the same traditions and this can either cause a great deal of problems in the family or the young man may leave the circle of his family and in some cases is banished from family because of it or, the parents will relent and accept who he wants to marry.
