If you have a thick layer of fat over your abdomen, therefore over your uterus, it may be a little later, say 22 weeks rather than 20 before you feel the baby move. the would have to be quite obes for it to have much effect Yes. Most women will begin to feel movement between 16-22 weeks. Thinner women will usually notice earlier than more weighty women. A first time mother will usually not be able to distinguish the kicks from normal stomach gas, so it will be a little further into the pregnancy for them.
