no kids join gangs for to be known as a strong guy tough guy and mostly to get into fights with other gangs which involves shooting and murder
Why would you want children to join gangs?! Most gangs are dealing with drugs, violence and robbery. Those aren't acceptable.
Gangs are not good and the only people who support it are probably the ons in the gang.
There are many programs in place that prevent children from joining gangs in San Francisco. There is an estimated 250-500 new young gang members a year.
A lot of kids and teenagers join gangs because they don't have a good family life. They don't have enough of security at home or something like that. Some kids feel pressurized to join a gang because they get threatened. There have been instances that other kids say if that person doesn't join this gang he'll kill their entire family. Believe it or not, gang members rape, kill, steal etc. It's not pretty. ): that may be true but no one is threated to join a gang one can be hoped in a gang with out wanting to that's part of the gang
The range of kids AND adults joing the gangs are from 14-40 years of age.
They pressure kids into joining gangs. Also they say people will like them better if they joined the gang or other interesting activities and things that will affect the kid once they join the gang. But all together its peer pressure from the people already in the gang. They also promise a better life...kids that join gangs seems to have a less than glamorous existence and other members then promise them a better one.
Young adults choose to join gangs because when you are poor or in poverty people, get together and help each other. It is kinda like The Outsiders when Ponyboy and Johnny are in a gang called the "Greasers". There are more gang members, but I ain't telling. They are often jumped by the Socs and the Socs were rich kids and picked the poor which are the Greasers. Young adults join gangs because of protection and finding someone who might be closest to you.
Gangs are not allowed at schools because they motivate other kids to join other other gangs. Gangs also put people in danger. Gangs do not contribute to education. School is a place for people to gain the knowledge needed to build the rest of their lives on. Young people are not aware of how little time they have to learn what they will need to know both in and out of school. Unless a gang really has something special to contribute to that process, they can't have a part in school. Schools, as a public trust, must be reserved for things that contribute to the students' future.
Many kids join gangs because they do not receive adequate family attention, the gang provides love, identity and status; in turn they develop loyalty to the gang.
so they beat up kids
