Best Answer

Viruses do not have complex membranes like eukaryotic organisms have. Viruses also do not have cells, nor are they technically living organisms. There is no need for viruses to control the movement of material in and out of the viral particles.

Are viruses more complex than human cells?

No.

Do all cells have cell membranes?

Yes, the cells of archaebacteria, bacteria, protists, fungi, plants and animals all have cell membranes. (Viruses have protein coats, not cell membranes and thus are not true 'cells'.) Thus indeed, all cells possess a cell membrane.

What are two activities that are characteristic of cell but not of viruses?

Cells can reproduce without help, cells can not invade other cells, cells have cell membranes and cells have a nucleus

What microorganisms are very small and aren't made of cells?

because they arn't as complex as a human cell

What is the Eukaryote?

# - is an organism whose cells contain complex structures enclosed within membranes.

Which best describes a difference between prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells?

Eukaryotic cells contain organelles that are enclosed in membranes

What cells are found in membranes?

Membranes surround cells. There are no cells found in membranes. Membranes are composed mostly of lipids.

Is the spanish influenza virus single celled or mulitcellular?

Neither. Viruses do not have cells but are surrounded by protein capsids containing the viral DNA or RNA. Some viruses have glycoprotein coats that they take from the membranes of cells they preform lysis on.

What do cell membranes do in both plants and animal cells?

Cell membranes control what passes in and out of the cell. The cell membrane functions this way in both plant and animal cells.-Chocolate391

What can scientists learn from studying cells?

Traditionally, a microscope. But if you consider a more complex application of the sciences, such as Biochemistry or Cellular Genetics, then the answer to this question becomes far too complex.

Not found in prokaryotic cells?

A eukaryote is an organism whose cells contain complex structures enclosed within membranes. For prokaryotic cells it is the opposite.
