Depending on the situation it could be covered udner several statutes. False Imprisonment - Unlawful Detention - Kidnapping. False imprisonment is defined as consisting of unlawful restraint against the will of an individual's personal liberty or freedom of locomotion. Unlawful detention is the gist of false imprisonment. It is also defined as any intentional detention of one person by another which is unauthorized by law.
Illegitimate means a claim which the law does not endorse. "Your claim to own this house is illegitimate."--the law will not back it up. Unlawful means contrary to the civil or criminal law, so that the victim can either get redress or punishment or both. Illegal means contrary to the criminal law. Breaking a contract is not illegal (you cannot be sent to jail over it) but it is unlawful (you can be sued over it). Illicit means the same as unlawful, but is used in much more restricted contexts. Lawless refers to a person who has no regard for the law--a criminal.

Used mattresses are not illegal to sell, but in some places they may have strict regulations.
No
yes
yes you stupid kid
No. Sleepy's is the largest mattress retailer on the east coast. They sell top brand mattresses that are sealed from the time it is manufactured, until the time it reaches the purchasers home.
Nope. But is illegal to sell a used mattress and say its new.
Absolutely. As long as you don't represent the mattress as being new it is most certainly legal to sell a used mattress.
You would have to check with your state to see if it is illegal. Each state has different rules about what they can and can't do with mattresses. Most allow it as long as it's tagged and sold as used, and is free of "filth".
Synthetic fibres and fabrics are most traditionally used for mattresses as these are the best for the job. In some cases mattresses can be made of silk to cotton.
