Best Answer

Liquids are very, very slightly compressible. On earth, liquids are slightly compressed by earth's atmospheric pressure, which does not exist in space. Therefore, liquids will be very slightly less dense in space.

Yes

How does the density of a liquid compare with the density of a solid?

That depends on the liquid and the solid. Liquid mercury has a very high density. Liquid gasoline has a very low density. At the melting point the density of a liquid and a solid are almost the same.

The Moon's average density is about the same as the density of which of the Earth's layers?

The moon's average density is about the same as the density of mantle of the Earth.

Does the moon have the same density than the earth?

no it is about 1/6 the density of the earth

Does the viscosity of a liquid affect how much of the liquid is displaced?

No, it is actually density that affects how much of a liquid is displaced when something is put in it. It is a common misconception that viscosity and density are the same thing, but the fact is, substances of the same density can have entirely different viscosities.

How does the density of a body and that of a liquid determine that whether the body will float or sink into that liquid?

If the density of the solid body is greater than the density of the liquid the bodywill sink. If the density of the liquid is greater than the density of the solid thebody will float. If the solid and the liquid have the same density, the solid body can be any whereinside the liquid and may move following currents if they exist in the liquid.Read more:How_does_the_density_of_a_body_and_that_of_a_liquid_determine_that_whether_the_body_will_float_or_sink_into_that_liquid

What is the relationship between mass and density when the volume of each liquid is the same?

For two liquids of the same volume, the liquid with a higher density will have greater mass. Similarly, the liquid with a greater mass has a higher density. This is only true for samples of equal volume, however.

Is buoyancy and density the same?

An object with greater density than the liquid it is placed will tend to sink

Will ice float in dish liquid?

Not all liquids have the same density. Water is the most common liquid (here on Earth at least) and ice floats on water. Haven't you ever had a drink with an icecube in it?

Is the density of liquid the same as the density of gas?

Possibly at the triple point of the substance, but not usually. Water as a liquid has a density of 1 g/ml. As a gas it has a density of about 0.72 g/L or 0.00072 g/ml.
