In the Bible, marriage is not forbidden to anyone, it is generally encouraged.

Hebrews 13:4 - "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."There is a provision for those who would devote their life entirely to God, in the Old Testament it was the vow of the Nazarite - Numbers ch.6. In the New Testament there is also some mention of celibacy, once mentioned by the Lord in Matthew 19:10-12, and also by Apostle Paul in 1+Corinthians 7:8-9, where he says that he wishes that all would remain unmarried even as he was, but later in the same letter 1+Corinthians.9:5 he makes it clear that he could get married just as other apostles and Cephas (Peter). A life of the servant of the Lord is compared to a life of a soldier, always at war 2+Timothy 2:4 - "No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." So from that view point it is not to marry, but because most cannot control their sexual desires it is best for them to marry 1+Corinthians 7:9 "But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn." The important thing is to serve the Lord with all your heart, and in whatever marital situation you can do it best - that's the best for you, and if that is the attitude of your heart, God Himself will guide you onto the path, that is right for you, and will also provide peace and full assurance that comes with being in His will.
