No. Molecule is two or more atoms covalently bonded. Mole is a unit measure. You could compare it to the unit measure ' one dozen. ' A mole of anything in count, is Avogadro's number; 6.022 X 10^23 ( no units )

Does carbon dioxide represent a mole or a molecule?

A molecule.

What is a mole atom?

A mole, in terms of chemistry usually, represents a number. That number is about 6.022 x 10^23. So when you have a mole of something, you have 6.022 x 10^23 of something. Moles are used in chemisty because the mass of a mole of any molecule in grams is the same as the atomic mass of the molecule in amu's.

Is the mass of 1 mole of oxygen and 1 mole of S same?

No, the (molar) mass (ie. the mass of one mole) is different by factor 2.004:Oxygen atom (O)15.999 g/mole O2,Oxygen molecule (elemental gas, O2) 31.998 g/mole O2Sulfur atom (S) 32.06 g/mole S,Sulfur molecule (bright yellow solid, S8) 256.48 g/mole S8,Sulfur molecule (S2) 64.12 g/mole S2 (there are more than 20 other allotropes)

How many moles of hydrogen gas could be produced by the complete decomposition of 1 mole of water?

Since a water molecule, H2O, has exactly the same quantity of hydrogen atoms as a hydrogen molecule, H2, it follows that one mole of water can be decomposed into one mole of hydrogen gas.

What is the root word for molecule?

the root word for molecule is mole

Why is a scientific mole called a mole?

The Oxford English Dictionary traces it back to the German word for molecule.

Can a mole represent a molecule?

A mole represents a set number of molecules, not just 1 molecule. There are avagadro's number of molecules in a mole. Avagadro's number: 6.022x10^23

What is the mass of 0.256 molecule of water?

0.256 molecule of anything does not exist. The smallest representation of any compound is 1 molecule. If you mean 0.256 mole then: 0.256 mole x (18 g / mole) = 4.608 grams

How many grams of the molecule C12O16H1 would be equal to 1 mole of the molecule?

In every mole there are only 6.023X1023 molecules irrespective of the compound.

Why one mole of hydrogen molecule and one mole of hydrogen atoms have different masses?

because there are 2 hydrogen atoms in the molecule of hydrogen atoms

What is the difference between a molecule and a mole of carbon dioxide?

A molecule is the fundamental unit of a compound. Therefore, a molecule of carbon dioxide is one C and two O atoms bonded together. A molecule is a single unit whereas a mole is a group of molecules and represents a fixed no. of any substance. Therefore, one mole of Carbon Dioxide consists of a 6.022 x 1023 molecules
