Not really... it is best to have more RAM (Random Access Memory) to make your computer faster in loading/executing programs and applications. Besides, it is hard enough to fill up a 40GB Hard Disk; so, imagine everything that is needed to fill up a computer with more physical (Hard Drive) memory. So, unless you really need the extra space, all you need is at least 2GHz of RAM to account for how programs and applications are taking up more and more RAM to run because of their features.
