Is mucinex DM safe to take after expiration date even though the bottle has never been opened and the celophane seal is still on the bottle?

In my opinion, it probably would be okay. It depends on how long ago the expiration date was. If the expiration date was more than 2 years ago, I'd throw it out, but if it's earlier than that it should be alright. If you don't want to take any chances, just buy a new bottle.
