morocan monkeys often wear their hair in the native acumbi style. it involves rubbing the fur with an olive tree lotion, making the hair soft and smooth. after applying the lotion the monkeys shave their heads with a spiritual carving knife. it generates a tingly sensation that is quite pleasing to the head. it also allows the fur to grow back within a four day period. the hair is then styled by a french gypsy. she used a brush used on the king of england and a comb that was once carried by Jesus Christ. the monkey is then ready to participate in the buddist rituals performed by his ancestors. hope this helps!
NO, s. epidermidis does not show up positive in an acid fast stain. The acid fast stain is a differential stain that differentiates cells with mycolic acids in their cells walls with those who do not. cells with mycolic acid are therefore acid fast. s epidermidis does not contain this waxy substance in their cell wall so it doesnt fall into this category.
Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium lepromatosis
Mycobacterium Leprae is found in the soil, water and in the air.
Whar are the gram reaction of mycobacterium?Type your answer here...
Yes an Acid fast organism could be coccobacillus shaped, eg. Mycobacterium avium, M. gordonae, M. montefiorense, Rhodococcus and even brucella species ( in modified cold acid fast staining) etc.
The bacteria that causes tuberculosis is mycobacterium tuberculosis an acid fast bacteria
Serratia marcesens is an acid fast negative bacillus. It appears blue under the microscope.
AFB= Acid Fast Bacillus
Two acid-fast bacteria that are pathogenic are:1. Mycobacterium tuberculosis2. Mycobacterium avium- Microbioman
Tuberculosis is caused by an acid-fast bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
It is used for those bacteria which contain fat or lipid layer on their outer wall, and did not stain with grams staining. e.g. Mycobacterium
diseases in the Mycobacterium genus Tuberculosis, leprosy etc.
NocardioformsNocardioforms include nine genera of aerobic, acid-fast rods, including members of the genus Nocardia. Nocardioforms have aerial hyphae which project above the surface of their growth medium as branching filaments. The hyphae fragment into rods and cocci. Nocardioforms are found throughout nature in many types of soil and aquatic environments. One species, N. asteroides, causes infection of the human lung.
Mycobacterium smegmatis is a non pathogenic organism so it is used in labs to study about Mycobacterium tuberculosis .

Tuberculosis or TB is caused by acid fast bacteria (AFB) belonging to the genus Mycobacterium. In human TB is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis species and in cattles by Mycobacterium bovis. Both these species differ in only one aminoacid at position 57 (His in Mycobacterium bovis) which elicits difference in the response to the drug administered. This disease is treated using anti-tuberculosis drugs - rifampicin, isoniasid, ethambutol and pyrazinamide. In these drugs, pyrazinamide is a special drug in that it is the only available drug in the market with proven efficiency which acts on semi dormant bacteria. Other Mycobacterium species Mycobacterium leprae causes leprosy.
Mycobacterium pinnipedii was created in 2003.
