The Brain Tuner / The Bio Tuner BT-7 There was a Rock and Roll group that was formed in the 1960s in England. It was called "The Who." Back then narcotics were being pushed to hook people on the drugs. Anyway, one of the members of the group who wrote a lot of their music is / was named Pete Townshend. Over the years this guy got hooked on heroin, among other things. A female Scottish doctor by the name of Dr. Margaret (Meg) Patterson, MD., came across some findings of a Dr. working in a Hong Kong hospital by the name of Dr. H. L. Wen. He found that electro-acupuncture that was used to anesthetize patients in Hong Kong for surgical procedures had the side effect of stopping their addictions to heroin. So with his help, Dr. Meg Patterson assembled some functional and operational specifications for a prototype electrical black box pulsing device and contracted an engineering firm in the UK to make it for them. At some point, Pete Townshend of the Who heard of their development efforts and some successful test cases and became a patient of Dr. Meg Patterson by flying over to meet with her in the USA where she was trying to start a manufacturing business to make the medical black box devices. Townshend was treated, and an author in Omni Magazine took notice and wrote a large article about it. OMNI Magazine, Volume 5, Number 4, January 1983 an Article was written by Kathleen McAuliffe, "The Black Box: Secret Drug Treatment of Rock Superstars" described how a "Brain Tuner" black box was used by Dr. Margaret A. Patterson, MD., to cure British rock star Pete Townshend of "The Who" of his addiction to heroin. An FDA official who Meg Patterson was in contact with knew of a man who could help get the black box manufacturing business going into the mainstream. The man was Dr. Robert C. Beck, DSc., Physics, USC, (1925-2002). Beck explained to them how he had been experimenting since the 1960s with electro-medicine, and had collected over 100 such electrical black boxes, some made as long ago as the 1940s in places like Russia and Sweden, so that he could study their effects, know what frequencies and waveforms were used and so on. Beck told the group who wanted to manufacture the equipment that they could get FDA approval quickly if they grandfathered their device on the existing similar device known as the TENS units, but the group decided not to do this and tried to gain approval via clinical trial testing and whatnot. Eventually, in 1982, Dr. Bob Beck developed the "Brain Tuner" black box machine, which uses a form of CES Cranial electrotherapy stimulation. Research using the Brain Tuner is mentioned in several popular culture, new age, and alternative medicine books. In the 1990s until his untimely death in 2002 from a fall causing head injury that later resulted in cardiac arrest, Beck lectured the alternative health show circuits across the USA promoting what he called "The Beck Protocol." Beck approved a company being run by Vancouver BC, Canada native Russ Torlage, engineering technologist, to manufacture the electro-medical devices Russ had designed and builds to this day operating as SOTA Instruments Inc (SOTA = State of The Art). On one of the many web sites that talks about Bob Beck's medical research / inventions / lectures / health protocol is a audio .mp3 file of a lecture Bob did in the 1980s about the Brain Tuner / Bio Tuner technology. The talk mentions "Paul Tyler" as the FDA person who put Bob in contact with Dr. Meg Patterson. Discussions on blogs about Dr. Bob Beck's Brain Tuner are that the new versions use ear clips to attach to the ear lobes, and do not attach to the acupuncture meridian lines behind the ear that was originally used during the Hong Kong surgical operations where the addiction recovery discoveries were reported / made-so the new versions may produce the right signals but do not attach to the right places to make them work properly on addition recoveries. With the help of some acupuncture research, you could determine the proper contact points to attach the electrodes or acupuncture needles to make the electronic pulse frequency black box addiction cure work properly? The Goal and Purpose of Addiction Treatment?

Addiction treatment may include a program, medication, or clinic that is used in the recovery process. The psychological aspects of treatment are often focused on the most, while medication is primarily for the cleansing of toxins left in the body. Addiction treatment is effective because it gets to the root of addiction before determining a practical treatment plan. An effective treatment plan includes coming up with a positive coping strategy to avoid a possible relapse.

Is a hydrocodone a perkiest?

Hydrocodone is not percocet. Percocet is a combination oxycodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is the active ingredient in brand name Vicodin, which also has acetaminophen in it. The difference is that oxycodone is a little more potent than hydrocodone, but both are very effective for treatment of pain.

Can you be hypnotised to quit smoking?

Hypnotism can be a help, but is almost never effective by itself. Nicotine replacement therapy combined with hypnotism could be quite effective. The most important thing is that you cease smoking when treatment begins, not attempt to "taper off." The sooner you get over the physical habit, the more effective the addiction treatment will be.

How do I know if outpatient treatment is right for me.?

Outpatient vs inpatient treatment is something you have to put energy and time into deciding which is better for you. First, you must find out what you need treatment for exactly, whether it is addiction, behavioral, or medical. Outpatient can be effective if you are ready for treatment, and have a stable homelife.

Opiate Hydrocodone is an antitussive (cough suppressant) and analgesic agent for the treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain. Hydrocodone is the most frequently prescribed opiate in the United States with nearly 130 million prescriptions for hydrocodone-containing products dispensed in 2006. There are several hundred brand name and generic hydrocodone products marketed. All are combination products and the most frequently prescribed combination is hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Vicodin®, Lortab®, Lorcet®).
