Yes, I think so. It's a question of scale. Ostensibly Eden is a paradise era in the history of the human race but it also represents the individual before corruption (beginning at birth). Eden represents happiness/innocence/pre-responsibility/pre-decay/pre-demise - pre-birth really. In so far as we long for our personal Eden, nostalgia is the great product seller - Eden was the marketing ploy for Christianity, now it helps sell cars, soap powder, face cream, iPods, you name it.
