Blood types are determined by proteins that are on the red blood cells. The rH protein could easily harm your baby during pregnancy. The other proteins are just seen as characteristics for each blood type but should have no ill effects on the child during pregnancy.

Does o- blood effect pregnancies?

Each person's blood is one of four major types: A, B, AB, or O. Blood types are determined by the types of antigens on the blood cells. Antigens are proteins on the surface of blood cells that can cause a response from the immune system. The Rh factor is a type of protein on the surface of red blood cells. Most people who have the Rh factor are Rh-positive. Those who do not have the Rh factor are Rh-negative

Can a person with type a blood receive blood from a person with type ab?

Yes, and this person can also receive blood from blood group type A and 0. If there are complications it is probably due the an other type of blood group, the rhesus blood group.

Should a man with blood type A marry a woman with blood type A?

Bloody type has no effect on marriage, nor on child bearing. If the father is A positive, and the mother A negative, the only issue that would arise is that during pregnancy the woman could develope antibodies to the Rh factor....but that is ONLY if the baby is A positive. IF that does occur, there is medication to prevent this from happening so there would be no risk to future pregnancies with babies that are positive for the Rh factor. So, blood type is not an impediment to being married..unless of course you share the same blood type because you're siblings or cousins.

How might erythroblastosis fetalis?

It happens when the father is of a positive blood group (having Rhesus (Rh) factor) and mother of a negative blood group (devoid of Rh factor), the fetes' blood group will be of the positive type, i.e., having Rh factor as having Rh factor is a dominant trait and can mask the negative blood group. So, this creates problems for the kid as well as mother during pregnancy. Usually, the first pregnancy will not have much complications. But, the second pregnancy onwards, the antibodies present in the mother from the first pregnancy will be present and is harmful for the fetes. If someones blood cells have type A antigens what type of blood do they have?

People with type A blood can give blood to people with type A or type AB, but you do need to take the Rh factor into consideration. The Rh factor is what makes a person have type A+ or type A-, etc. There are also other types of very rare antigen in the blood that make up the other blood type which is beyong the scoop of discussion here.

If both parents have the same blood type will there be complications?
