No. However, it is very unhealthy.
That really depends. Gluttony is a sin as well as sloth but just because your obese doesn't mean that you gouge yourself with food and lay around all day.
It could be a combination of bad eating habits, like to much fat or carbs or both, and not enough exercise. On top of that their are a number of conditions that could make you obease such as gland problems, Metabolic syndrome, Pseudohypoparathyroidism, as well as many others.
Another opinion
In my nonprofessional opinion, gluttony is a sin but it is one that Christians like to ignore as much as possible. They are often quick to label smoking, drinking and drugs as sins, but for some reason gluttony is accepted. Possibly because the pastors do not want to upset the overweight church goers and risk losing money..Many of the arguments used against smoking, drinking and drugs such as health and addiction, apply equally to overeating and being too fat. Many christians would not ever consider having a glass of wine or smoking a cigarette,or taking a snort of cocaine but they have no qualms about GORGING themselves at the dinner table every night until they pack on the weight, some up to several hundred pounds of extra weight. Food is becomes their drug of choice they eat for pure pleasure not for survival they are addicts and therefor sinners just like the drunks and druggies they condemn. Proverbs 23:40-21 warns, "Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags."
Proverbs 28:7 declares, "He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father. Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, "Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony." In the NT Paul says in his letters that some people make their belly their God ('whose god is their belly') and that puts them with unbelievers. and when they get fat they need more and more to fill their bellies, and so the awful cycle of glutony continues... (in my opinion)
How about "Obesity".
What leads to obesity
There's obesity everywhere.
Obesity can be generic because obesity isn't always to do with eating to much and not burning of enough calories. A portion of obesity can be genetically mediated.
Bariatric medicine is the study of obesity and the treatment of obesity. It often includes the treatment options, related conditions stemming from obesity, the genetics involved in obesity and the symptoms of obesity and related conditions.
Noun. Obesity is a thing.
morbid obesity
no, there are many types of obesity to choose from
... yes, it's the state of being (obese) -adjective, so obesity is a noun Yes. Obesity is a noun.
I don't completely understand the question. If you are referring to an individuals case of obesity then you would word the sentence "Case of Obesity." like "John has a severe case of obesity." If you are referring to one or more people that are obese you would phrase it. "There are many cases of obesity in Texas."
