It depends on the manufacturer - read the label. Most natural nut butters will have the natural oil of the nut separated, floating on top of the solid nut paste. You don't usually see this in the major commercial nut butters because they use emulsifiers to keep the whole thing mixed up. Because of this it is recommended that you stir up your natural nut butters well before using them.
