Yes, of course. These would be engine oils, which can be either petroleum based or completely Synthetic, or a combination of both. They have varying viscosity ratings from 5W20 SAE to 20W50, or 30W, 40W etc.
Manual transmissions and differentials use special gear oil blends of much higher viscositys, such as 90W or 85W140. Then there are oils often referred to as fluids for Automatic transmissions, "ATF" or Power Steering etc.
But all cars I'm aware of, that use tires anyway definitely use oil!
Oil is also used in the manufacture and composition of certain parts as well, tires and plastics, to name only two.
