It is legal to use air weapons (pellet guns) to hunt in the UK, with a few proviso's.
The air weapon is limited to 12ftlbs muzzle energy if it is a rifle or 6ftlbs if a pistol.
The land being shot over must be privately owned and being used with the owners permission.
The animals hunted are common pest species not protected by law, and are suitable for being humanely killed by the type of weapon used, ie you cannot try to kill a deer with an air weapon.
it is not legal to hunt with bow and arrow in England at this time.
hope this helps.
No
Is it illegal to shoot a pellet gun in the City Limits of Quincy IL>
Depending on where you live and the local law. Yes a pellet gun will kill a squirrel. I suggest you use "Hollow point" hunting pellets.
yes
no. Why would you?
Use a Pellet gun or rifle. Pellets deform on impact and make a clean kill. BB do not deform and are a poor choice for hunting. Use Hollow point pellets for hunting.
Depends on the bird, and the season. A pellet gun, slingshot or bazooka- it is still hunting. Some birds may not be hunted, some at only certain times or days of the year. Check with the North Carolina Game Commission for a definitive answer.
With the right pellet you you can, But it should be a hunting Pellet (Hollow-point) and it should be a heavy pellet not a light weight pellet with at least 900 to1000 FPS.
In the US, State law generally requires you be 18 to BUY a pellet gun. It is up to your parents to decide if you can have one, and you are under 18.
Hollow point is best. It is a hunting pellet.. But be advised you have to hit a bone or the pellet may go right through the rabbit and he will run off and die elsewhere.
Yes! But it will suffer. BB's are a poor hunting choice for hunting. Pellet guns and rifles are more humane.
