∙ 12y agoIt is illegal to use the pirate bay to download copyright infringing files, however not everything on the pirate bay is illegal, there are some original movies, and music that have been uploaded so it is legal depending on how you use it.

(Another person) Well, there are legal torrents there...but most aren't. Try searching for stuff you know is legal to download. (anothe person) Yes the site is legal couse the torrent files only have instructions on how to download it. but puting the torrent file in your torrent client is illegal.

You will have to research on your own as to what is legal or illegal depending on your country and local-law, and just because one country says something is legal/illegal, doesn't mean that it applies to Another Country.
Generally, any song, T.V. show, video, etc. that has a current copyright (one that has not expired) is NOT LEGAL to download in any country unless you pay to download it.

∙ 12y agoVisiting the site is 100% legal, but downloading the content hosted there IE: Torrents, Is illegal. Ive used TPB for like 3 years now, no other site is better.

You may or may not get caught but there is no way to make sure you don't get caught. I would recommend not downloading things from illegal sites.
