No. Despite what some people may claim, the Quileutes have no traditions involving vampires or "cold ones." Meyer made this up out of whole cloth, and if I recall she stated as such.
She has also claimed that the rest of the folklore was "genuine," but real Native Americans beg to differ. You can see what they have to say about her "genuine" Quileute folklore here:

Vampires are the natural enemies of Quileutes, the werewolves are designed to fight and kill vampires. However, the Quileutes do learn to work with the Cullens in the series, even if some of them like Leah and Paul still don't like the Cullens. --- In reality? I don't know, I can not find anything that says they are enemies. But Stephanie Meyer claims to have found a link on Google that states they are natural enemies, although every site I have looked on Quiteute Legends they all say nothing about vampires.
The Quileute tribe is a tribe of Native Americans. In the novel, some of their characters do become werewolves (they refer to themselves as a pack). The werewolves are Jacob Black, Sam Uley, Seth & Leah Clearwater, Embry Call, Quil Ateara, Brady, Collin, Jared, and Paul.
Quileute legends primarily focus on werewolves, also known as shape-shifters, rather than vampires. These legends describe tribal members who have the ability to transform into wolves.
Vampires in general, although they're not really enemies with the Cullens, due to their "vegetarian" life style.
It is about werewolves fighting vampires.
Jacob Black is a werewolf, Bella's friend, and he has a crush on her. He tells her the Quileute legend. The Quileute legend is all about the cold ones and werewolves and how the rivalry between vampires and werewolves first began.
such is the back story to Underworld.
No, because they are creatures of myth and legend, only.
In the real Quileute Indian legends, there are no such things mentioned about cold ones or vampires. Stephenie Meyer made it up.
In the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, there are a total of five Quileute werewolves: Sam Uley, Jacob Black, Paul Lahote, Embry Call, and Jared Cameron. These werewolves protect their tribe from vampires.
In the Twilight series, the treaty between vampires and werewolves, the Quileute tribe, states that vampires are not allowed to bite humans on the Quileute reservation, and werewolves are not allowed to attack the Cullens or their allies unless the vampires' actions break the treaty. The treaty is meant to maintain peace between the two groups and prevent conflicts.
Neither Vampires or Werewolves are real.
The Cullen family in Twilight were not allowed to trespass on Quileute tribal land. This was because of an ancient treaty between the Quileute werewolves and the Cullen vampires that stated the Cullens could not enter the Quileute territory.
WEREWOLVES OF COURSE BECAUSE VAMPIRES ARE blood SUCKERS AND WEREWOLVES RULE VAMPIRES DROOL BLOOD

vampires can actually turn into werewolves. its the truth (but folklore) Vampires can trans there body to werewolves as werewolves can trans themselfs to vampire. its called camouflage. vampires tend to turn themselves as werewolfs for disguise.
