sounds like a wheel bearing.
You NEED to replace the rack and pinion steering unit.
You can find lots of information about Rack and Pinion steering on the Internet by going to the following website: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/steering2.htm
Grinding, rough steering, fluid leaking from seals.
If you have plenty of fluid it could be the power steering pump itself going bad or it could be the rack and pinion assembly.
It is most likely going to be the power steering fluid. Usually when your power steering fluid is low, the car will make a groaning or whining sound. Hope this helps!
many reasons, steering pump, cv joints may be going out, or you could be grinding some plastic that goes around the wheel
The Steering locks might be damaged in the rack and pinion or the teeth them selves in the rack and pinion could be stripped Also the problem might be in the steering linkage going to the rack and pinion.
The power steering on a vehicle can be jammed due to a rack and pinion issue in the steering column. Another possible cause could be that the power steering fluid may be low and the power steering pump may be going out.
If there are any kind of steering issues, they should be checked by a professional. One problem that signals an issue is a random shuddering and a "clumping" sound.
you may need gear oil added to the rear diff or the pinion gear could be worn
fatman has a mustang II kit ,but that radically changes the front susp. otherwise it's not going to happen, sorry
the gear box may be going out or its metal on metal rubing somewhere
