yes in ancient India you got you're nose cut of as punishment then you would go to you're doctor and have an operation to cut a flap from you're forehead have it twisted down and around and moulded into a new nose shape and secured by strings until fully healed the the wound on you're forehead would be pulled together and stiched up!
