Salt that is put out to kill slugs is not likely to be harmful to cats, unless it also has poison in it. A cat would have to eat a lot of salt to get sick from it. Some cats may taste it but they'll usually leave it alone. If you have a cat that seems to be eating the salt, keep the cat inside where it can't reach it.

∙ 9y agoSalt can kill cats if they consume too much of it. A little salt will not hurt them, a lot of salt will cause sickness and dehydration.
