im a smoker and first had smoke is worse because it is going directly into your lungs, and second hand smoke is not as bad becasue it has been exhaled already and it is also a smaller amont that actually makes it into your lungs. just stay away from smokers and you will be good, but my advise to you is never ty smokeing ever it is very adicting and you will die early. if a healthy person lived up to 80 then they started smoking , they would probally die around 65. :( not good at all
The addictive properties of tobacco are primarily related to the Nicotine. The person smoking gets a substantially heavier dose of that than those subjected to second-hand smoke - which is significantly diluted by the rest of the air. It would likely take considerably more exposure than most people experience to get the addictive effects from second-hand smoke. Likely it would take staying in smoke filled room with dense smoke for prolonged periods on a regular basis to get the addictive effects. That's not to say the second hand smoke is harmless, just that you are not likely to get addicted from normal exposure to it
==========
No. The tobacco would have no way of getting into your system unless the room was completely filled with smoke. However, you may begin to enjoy the smell of cigarettes, which could lead to cigarette addiction if you choose to start.
==========
The above is true, but fails to address the most important point:
"Can second hand smoke effect the heath of the person breathing it"
And the answer to that is "Oh yes".
==========
My ex-girlfriend is no longer effected by my smoke, and both know that.
smoking make you breath harder and did you know that smoking takes two seconds off your life and you suppose to live to be 100.
all this is true but tobacco itself is not addictive its actually nicotine that's inside of it making you have cravings for them
==========
The above statement was rather poorly written...
I am a smoker, and I always smoke away from other people. My parents always smoked in the house, so maybe it does go towards addiction or more cravings to start. Breathing ordinary atmospheric air is a HARM! You see anti-smoking junk science is just that when the truth hits you and destroys 60 years of Propaganda its a hard hit to take.......... Yet a simple look at the chemistry shows us that its: About 90% of secondary smoke is composed of water vapor and ordinary air with a minor amount of carbon dioxide. The volume of water vapor of second hand smoke becomes even larger as it quickly disperses into the air,depending upon the humidity factors within a set location indoors or outdoors. Exhaled smoke from a smoker will provide 20% more water vapor to the smoke as it exists the smokers mouth. 4 % is carbon monoxide. 6 % is those supposed 4,000 chemicals to be found in tobacco smoke. Unfortunatley for the smoke free advocates these supposed chemicals are more theorized than actually found.What is found is so small to even call them threats to humans is beyond belief.Nanograms,picograms and femptograms......
(1989 Report of the Surgeon General p. 80). You get about as much nicotine from SHS/ETS as youd get eating nicotine laden foods like tomatoes and potatoes or ICED TEA!
yes it is very bad for you and can make you sick
yes if you second hand smoke you will die very and never second hand smoke because you will kill kids earlier
No, it isn't. But it's harmful for health anyway.
No, they're both the same except when you smoke one you have to spend your money, and the second hand smoker gets it for free :P
Yes.
Yes its possible. You can become addicted to all varieties of pain killers. If you suspect you may be addicted, speak to your doctor.
This sounds possible but uncommon. You can become addicted to anything.
Nicotine is used as a stimulant and a substance to ensure that the smokers become addicted to the tobacco.
Yes, you can certainly become addicted to Facebook or Twitter. Some studies even show that those social media sites are more addictive than alcohol and cigarettes.
yes
Depends on your body. Some people get addicted quite easily, but some don't. For example a pack of cigarettes will be enough for one person to become addicted, and for other months are needed to become addicted (like me :D ).
The short answer is that they get addicted to smoking by smoking. But there is more to it than that. Cigarettes contain nicotine, and nicotine has a calming effect. After a while, when they start to feel tense, they automatically reach for a cigarette.
No. Neither is addictive.
Cocaine is extremely addictive; it is possible to use it once and not get addicted, but people who use it twice will almost certainly become addicts.
yes you can become addicted to ibuprofen as it is a painkiller
Anyone can become addicted to the internet if they have a void to fill in their lives.
The end is hot, it can burn. Tar can build up in your lungs, you can become addicted to cigars, the chemicals can cause damage.
