Any antibiotic can be dangerous for guinea pigs. Guinea pigs really don't respond well to most antibiotics. You should definitely seek your vet's advice, even if you just ask the question over the phone, but I strongly advise against using an antibiotic.

First of all, you should not give a guinea pig ANY MEDICINE unless you are a licensed guinea pig vet or a vet specialising in guinea pigs, and you shouldn't go to an online vet as these are not always correct, so if you think your guinea pig is sick take it to a VET

Your guinea has developed a lop sided head?

Guinea pigs commonly develop ear infections that lead to a head tilt and loss of balance. This can become permanent and worsen over time if not treated. It is painful and requires (typically) oral antibiotic treatment. Please, please seek the attention of an EXOTIC SPECIALIST vet ASAP so that they can prescribe the proper antibiotic. Below is information from guinealynx, an excellent website on guinea pig care. EAR INFECTIONIf your guinea pig experiences difficulty walking or holds it's head tilted to one side, see a vet immediately. Prompt treatment is critical for complete recovery. This can indicate a bacterial infection of the inner ear requiring topical and/or oral antibiotics. A vet will also check for parasites and other conditions.here is a link to dangerous guinea pig medications: http://www.guinealynx.info/dangerous_medications.html
