In my humble opinion, absolutely not! This is the sort of thing that gives the D/s community a very bad name and these days it is a sad state of affairs as it is. Slavery was only bad people exerting their will over a group of people with no means to defend themselves (I am of course referring to the American south). Now days slavery is still alive and well unfortunately (I am talking about non-consenting slavery not slavery in an adult relationship between consenting adults).
Dominance and submission in an adult relationship is by mutual consent (very different then the slavery of the American south).

Slavery became linked with racism through the process of racialization, where African people were systematically dehumanized and categorized as inferior based on their race. This served to justify their enslavement and perpetuate a system of racial hierarchy. Over time, ideas of inherent racial differences and white superiority became deeply ingrained in society, solidifying the association between slavery and racism.
Slavery has nothing to do with race. Slavery is based on the vulnerability of the victims and the moral compass of the sellers and the buyers. The slave trade both historically and today is operated by people who have no regard for human dignity or human rights, people for whom the only thing that matters is the money to be made and the opportunity to wield power over others.
